How We Are Run

The U3A is a voluntary organisation which relies entirely on the efforts of its members. It is run by an unpaid elected committee for which any member may seek nomination. Elections are held bi-annually.

There can be a maximum of 14 committee members and there is the provision for another 4 co-opted members.

There are regular committee meetings throughout the year.

Committee members should be computer literate and be prepared to take on areas of responsibility.

There are several sub-groups that deal with specific organisation areas such as enrolment and social events.

There is an Annual General Meeting (AGM) open to all members.

There are two new members starting in 2022, making the committee its full compliment of 14 members.
