  • Work is going on behind the scenes to sort out a programme of Summer classes.
  • Below is a list of the classes which are planned to be running in the Summer.

  • Days & times will be the same as for excising classes

The Stage in the Hall

  • The Main Body of the Hall is available for use again.
  • HOWEVER – we cannot have access to the STAGE.
  • So in classes were the tutor uses the stage eg – Tai Chi & Line Dancing – the tutor will have to just use the Main Body of the room.
  • Apologies from Kirklees – but this is due to major renovation work that has to be done.
  • A completion date is not yet available and this situation may go on for sometime.

Happy New Year – Start of Classes 2023

  • A Happy New Year to all.
  • Monday, 2 January is a Bank Holiday.
  • Week 1 Classes start on Tuesday, 3 January 2023 as do Weekly classes which are not on Mondays.
  • Week 2 Classes start on  Monday, 9 January 2023.
  • Note –  Italian Beginners will not be starting on Tuesday, 10 January 2023, it will start on Tuesday, 24 January, 2023.
  •  
  • Monday Week 1 classes start on Monday 16, January 2023
  •  
  • Most Monday Weekly classes start on Monday, 9 January 2023 except for Tai Chi as the Hall  cannot be used that week.
  • Tai Chi will start on Monday, 16 January 2023.

  • Reminder – Genealogy Enrolment is on Thursday, 5 January 2023.

Work in the Hall

  • We have just received notice from Kirklees Council that work in the Hall in January 2023 will affect 4 of our classes.
  • The work will commence on Monday, 9 January 2023 for a week.
  • There will not be any classes in the Hall during that week.
  • This will affect us on Monday, 9 January 2023 for the 2 Tai Chi classes.
  • And Wednesday, 11 January for Line Dancing (am) and Ballroom (pm).
  • *
  • This means that Tai Chi will not start  after the Christmas break until Monday, 16 January 2023.
  • *
  • Classes in the Coffee Lounge and the Bar Lounge are NOT affected.
  • *
  • The Hall will also be out of use during a week in February – as yet we have not been given the dates.
  • They will be posted here as soon as we know.

Start Dates for 2023

  • The autumn term for classes has ended and a big thank you to all members who have taken part including committee members, tutors and participants.
  • The Christmas Social will be the last event for 2022.

  • Have your diaries ready to add the start dates for classes in January 2023.
  • As Monday, 2 January is a Bank Holiday, Week 1 classes will start on Tuesday, 3 January 2023.
  • Week 2 classes will start on Monday, 9 January 2023.
  • Note –  Italian Beginners will not be starting on Tuesday, 10 January 2023, it will start on Tuesday, 24 January,2023.
  • Weekly Monday classes will start also start on Monday, 9 January 2023.
  • Creative Writing, a Monday Week 1 classes will not start until Monday, 16 January 2023.

  • Remember that enrolment for Genealogy Workshop is on Thursday, 5 January 2023 at 14:00 in the Coffee Lounge.

  • Please note that Music Appreciation will not be running in the spring term in 2023.
